The Office of Learning, Teaching and Educational Design (LTED) is a central university service. The team supports strategic priorities in learning and teaching at AUT. Our philosophy is to support staff to do as much for themselves as they can, working as their partner in learning, offering them choice, encouraging their leadership, and modelling the AUT values of tika, pono and aroha.

The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
This is a full-time permanent position. In this role you will cover a broad range of educational practice, which includes innovative pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, digital learning, understanding of scholarship/pedagogical research. An understanding of Mātauranga Māori and/or Pacific pedagogies and strong cultural capability is highly desirable.
Through a design-led process, you will work alongside academic staff teams to create authentic blended learning experiences, bringing evidence-based design principles into practice. You will play a vital role in supporting and managing various work strands and projects in your role

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation of standing
Sustained experience in planning, designing, and developing educational approaches and implementing learning design methodologies which incorporate evidence-based pedagogies for face to face, blended, and online learning environments
Experience creating, and working within, systematic learning design processes at scale, including leading and managing multiple projects and associated milestones, within centrally coordinator learning design projects
A proven track record of working with academics/specialists to achieve outcomes that meet project needs and align with the wider university directions.
Evidence of evidence-based approach for provisioning of a broad range of learning and teaching support activities including academic consultation, curriculum design and support for assessment design
Sustained experience of working on programme-wide and new course developments within a university
Knowledge and skills in Mātauranga Māori and/or Pasifika pedagogy, and experiences of supporting staff embedding these in learning and teaching context is highly desirable
