Accounting Executive, Treasury & Investment Operations Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 536791)
The Role
This is an excellent entry point for an accounting graduate looking to develop a career in treasury or investment accounting. You will join the Treasury & Investment Operations Team, gaining practical experience in day-to-day accounting operations, stakeholder coordination, and process support within a prestigious academic institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing daily accounting duties, including journal entries, payment processing, and reconciliations.
- Assisting in preparing monthly reports, variance analyses, and summaries for internal review.
- Coordinating with banks and counterparties on payment instructions, fund transfers, and settlement-related activities.
- Liaising with internal departments, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders to support smooth operations.
- Assisting in coordinating with external auditors and preparing supporting documentation during audit engagements.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Some relevant work experience (1-3 years is advantageous; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds or internship experience are welcome to apply).
- Strong communication abilities and effective stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Oracle Financials and Microsoft Office applications is highly desirable.
- Prior exposure to investment operations, treasury functions, or the banking sector is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
