    Job Description:

    Accounting Officer, Treasury & Investment Operations Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 536358)

    The Role

    The successful candidate will join the Treasury & Investment Operations Team with the following responsibilities:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting and investment operations, including trade execution, settlement and cash management;
    • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes;
    • Handle KYC/AML procedures, tax and compliance matters, and account onboarding processes;
    • Prepare monthly investment performance analysis and reports for management review;
    • Develop long-term relationships with financial institutions and asset management firms;
    • Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during audit engagements; and
    • Support ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

    Qualifications and Qualities

    • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline;
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or external audit;
    • Solid knowledge of financial instruments (e.g. bonds, stocks), and their accounting treatments;
    • A team-oriented professional with a positive attitude and strong work ethic;
    • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment;
    • Strong communication abilities and effective stakeholder management skills; and
    • Experience with Oracle Financials is highly desirable.

    What We Offer

    The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
