    Job Description:

    Executive Officer in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 536364)

    We are looking for an Executive Officer to join the HR team of the LKS Faculty of Medicine to provide administrative support in relation to human resources operations.

    The Role

    The appointees will provide high-level support to the administration of academic staff appointments and tenure/promotion exercises (including but not limited to scheduling meeting, reviewing submission of documents to ensure compliance with university rules and regulations, preparing recommendation packages to approving authorities at the University level); advise departmental counterparts on HR queries, policies and procedures; maintain internal filing and record systems; supervise assigned clerical staff; and perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Qualities

    • A recognized Bachelor’s degree;
    • At least 4 years’ solid administrative work experience, preferably in a tertiary institution;
    • An excellent command of written and spoken English (with an overall band score of at least 7.5 in IELTS or equivalent) and Chinese;
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
    • An appropriate level of IT skills;
    • A good sense of tact in handling sensitive and confidential information; and
    • Ability to manage a competing set of priorities and working to deadlines are essential.

    What we Offer

    The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
