    Job Description:

    Teaching Assistant in the Department of Comparative Literature, School of Humanities (Ref.: 534840) (to commence as soon as possible for two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal, subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

    Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature, Film Studies, English, or a related field. They should demonstrate a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as proficiency in common IT applications. They should also be good team players; self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility; and able to work independently.

    The appointee will provide teaching and research support for a Master’s degree programme. Responsibilities include preparing materials for courses in literary and cultural studies, maintaining Moodle course platforms, and providing teaching support to lecturers. He/She will also undertake assigned research tasks and conduct preliminary plagiarism checks and AI-writing screenings under the supervision of academic staff. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The appointee may occasionally be required to work beyond office hours. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

    A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, where applicable.
