    Job Description:

    Senior Executive Assistant/ Executive Assistant/Clerical Assistants (several posts) based in the HKU-CDS Shanghai Teaching and Research Site (Ref.:534778) (to commence as soon as possible)

    The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has established a world-class Teaching and Research Site for the School of Computing and Data Science, CDS (SH) in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai. We are seeking experienced, forward-thinking, and proactive administrative and technical support personnel to be based in Shanghai to provide comprehensive administrative support for the operations of the Site.

    Reporting to the respective team leader, the appointees will provide administrative and technical support in either one or more of the following key functional areas: 1) SH on-site teaching support and outreach for taught Undergraduate and Master’s programmes; 2) research initiatives and research and development (R&D) lab support and promotion; 3) finance, procurement, and asset management; and 4) IT network and systems operations.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in higher‑education, research administration, IT services, facilities management, communications, or related fields;
    • A keen interest in event management, student support, engagement with academics, and graphic design is preferred;
    • Familiarity with procurement and building facilities, a background in design or architecture will be an advantage;
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills;
    • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and deliver within tight deadlines;
    • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
    • Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn; experience in branding, multimedia, video editing, or graphic design will be an advantage for outreach‑related roles; and
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Terms of Appointment

    The appointment will be offered by an HKU entity incorporated in Shanghai, which will be governed by the Labour Contract Laws of the People’s Republic of China. The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
