The role | Te mahiAs a Clinical Psychologist, you will work both in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals and the wider primary care team at Student Health Services. A stepped care approach is required as well as a sound working knowledge of available referral partners and community resources.Ideally, you will be an experienced and autonomous clinician who communicates clearly and works well in various team environments. A proven ability to function well under pressure of high clinical demand is essential.In this role, you will report to the Clinical Group Leader of The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team.Skills and Experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheakoTo succeed in this role, you will be a registered clinical psychologist with a current APC and a strong interest in supporting young adults. You will bring experience in assessment, short-term intervention, and liaison work (essential), with additional experience in alcohol and drug services and group work being advantageous.You will have:• A flexible, positive, and team-focused approach.• Proven ability to thrive in a busy, structured environment requiring accuracy, and strong organisational skills.• Experience in the health sector, especially in medical practice, is desirable but not essential.• Familiarity with patient management systems (e.g. Medtech Evolution) is advantageous.• Strong multitasking skills and well-developed computing abilities.• A proactive and collaborative attitude that contributes to a positive team culture.Further details | PūrokoThis is a part-time (22.5 hours, per week,) permanent position, located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
