Job Description:
Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 536891) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 4 to 6 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. Experience in undergraduate programme administration and event management would be an advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail. They should also be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, manage multiple tasks under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Strong computer skills and artificial intelligence literacy are definite assets.
The appointee will perform a wide range of administrative duties in relation to undergraduate programmes, including liaising with various University offices and units on student-related matters, managing experiential learning activities, organising student events, supporting career development initiatives, providing secretarial support to committees, and performing any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
