Laboratory Assistant in Genomics Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 536828) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The Role
- Assist in the daily operation of the laboratory supplies warehouse, including receiving, storing and delivering goods
- Conduct regular inventory counts and manage stock
- Handle general administrative work including data entry and filing in the laboratory
- Deliver goods to the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Science Park and Hong Kong Children's Hospital or other sites
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Qualities
- F.5 or with some specialized (usually on-the-job) training
- Ability to communicate with basic English and fluent Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
- Experience of working in core facility is highly preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong sense of responsibility
- Proactive and enjoy teamwork
- Willing to meet new challenges
