    Job Description:

    The Faculty of Social Sciences invites applications for a fractional position of Lecturer to join our Experiential Learning team. The role focuses on developing and managing Social Innovation and Global Citizenship internship within the Experiential Learning team.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage internships

    Design and expand local and global internship opportunities in partnership with over 150 community organisations, integrating principles of social innovation and career development into the experience.

    • Supervise and mentor students

    Support undergraduate students in their academic, personal, and professional growth through internship guidance, mentorship, and structured academic activities.

    • Partner engagement

    Build and sustain strong partnerships with organisations to enhance experiential learning opportunities and ensure meaningful outcomes for both students and partners.

    • Programme enhancement

    Align internship initiatives with curriculum objectives, design assessment frameworks, and develop scalable models for long-term development.

    Requirements

    • A Master’s degree or above in social sciences or a related discipline
    • At least five years of post-qualification experience, preferably in experiential learning, programme development, or internship management
    • Demonstrated success in developing and managing internship or experiential learning programmes
    • Strong organisational, communication, and networking skills, with fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

    What We Offer

    The appointment will be made on fractional fixed-term contract for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme. totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and professional leave, medical benefits, and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
