Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Manager/ Project Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/ Executive Officer) at the Development & Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) (Ref.: 536754) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

The Development and Alumni Affairs Office is seeking a proactive, achievement-oriented professional to champion donor outreach and engagement. Key Responsibilities

• Proactively build donor connections by re engaging past supporters and opening doors to new prospects with creativity and confidence, expanding HKU’s philanthropic reach;
• Create experiences through dynamic events, personalised campaigns, and storytelling that inspires people to give;
• Manage and grow a portfolio of prospective major donors, helping to secure philanthropic support from individuals and organisations; and
• Collaborate strategically with colleagues and faculty partners to design innovative donor communication and fundraising approaches.

Qualifications & Attributes

• A Bachelor’s degree is required;
• At least 6 years’ experience in engagement, networking, or relationship‑building roles. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the position of Project Manager;
• Achievement‑oriented, proactive, and able to take initiatives independently;
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to motivate and inspire;
• All‑rounded professional with creativity, adaptability, and results‑driven mindset;
• Outgoing personality, self‑motivated, and confident in building connections; and
• Proficiency in English; Cantonese/Mandarin is an advantage.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
