Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (ref.:536658) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; a strong sense of responsibility; and good interpersonal skill. They should also be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

The appointees will assist the Principal Investigator in a research project on examining the impact of technology use on mental health in later life, and be responsible for data collection, management and analysis, and other duties as assigned. On-the-job training related to research and statistical methods will be provided. Those with more research experience and/or stronger academic background may be considered as Research Assistant I. Working irregular hours and/or on weekends may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
