Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As a Communications Content Creator you will create, edit, and publish content across a variety of channels including websites, social media, email campaigns, events, and digital communications. Working closely with colleagues across the University, you'll develop engaging stories and content that align with UC's strategic priorities and brand. Showcasing the people, research, achievements, and opportunities that make UC a vibrant place to study, work, and collaborate.
Helping to coordinate content across multiple platforms, ensuring messaging is engaging, consistent, audience-focused, and easy to access. You will also monitor content performance, provide insights and recommendations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of UC's communications and engagement activities.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are a creative and organised professional who enjoys crafting engaging content and building positive relationships with a wide range of people. You will also be able to demonstrate experience in:
- At least 1 – 3 years in communications, social media, marketing, or journalism
- Tertiary Qualification - National Diploma (NZQA Level 5) in relevant field
- Proven experience creating content for social media, email campaigns, websites and digital channels
- Demonstrated experience in developing, capturing, editing and distributing digital content using a variety of tools and software including Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with social media platforms and formats.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills across a variety of communication formats
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

You will work closely with colleagues across the Marketing, Communications and Events team, as well as academic and professional staff from across the University and students. Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to uncover and share stories that celebrate the impact of UC's people, research, and student experience.
