Job Description:
Full-time/Part-time Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of School Development Officer) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 536634).
To commence from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in STEAM education, artificial intelligence, education, science, mathematics, information technology, engineering, or a related field. Candidates must have a minimum of four years' experience in teaching, school-based support, or project management. Strong communication skills and proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees in science education or related disciplines, recognized teaching qualifications, or those who have held leadership positions in schools.
The appointee will be involved in projects related to STEAM and AI education. He/She will provide school-based professional support to project schools and work closely with the project team to manage and coordinate various aspects of the projects. He/She is expected to:
1. design and implement professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders on STEAM education, artificial intelligence, science education, self-directed learning and innovation leadership;
2. collaborate with project teachers to design STEAM curricula that integrate AI technologies and incorporate self-directed learning strategies;
3. develop, implement and evaluate independently school-based support plans for project schools;
4. foster multi-level innovation and leadership capacity in project schools;
5. draft project proposals, school reports and case stories, develop design resources and project deliverables, and conduct qualitative and quantitative research (including data collection and analysis); and
6. perform other duties as assigned.
