Job Description:

Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:536631) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social science, or other healthcare-related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; the willingness to learn new skills; a strong commitment to high quality research; good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and the ability to prioritize work and maintain a high level of effectiveness. Experience in clinical research and a plan to pursue a postgraduate degree would be advantageous.

The appointees will work closely with professional researchers and clinicians to investigate clinical, functional and cognitive outcomes of patients with psychotic disorders and bipolar disorder. They will conduct cognitive and clinical assessment with psychiatric patients in outpatient clinics and psychiatric wards. They will also assist in project management and data analysis. This position would be ideal for those who wish to gain research experience and be equipped with clinical skills.
