Job Description:

Exercise Specialist (at the rank of Technical Officer) in the Centre for Sports and Exercise (Ref.: 536586) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a recognized degree, preferably in Exercise Science, Sports Coaching, Strength and Conditioning or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ experience in coaching or teaching. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably with proficiency in Putonghua). They should be dynamic and proactive, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with clients, members and user groups; and capable of working independently, as well as collaborating effectively within a team. Possession of a valid certificate and qualification in fitness training (e.g NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach (Level 2), ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist) will be considered an advantage.

The appointee will deliver high-quality training advice; develop tailored fitness programs for diverse populations; conduct health and fitness assessments in both on-site and clinical settings, prepare presentations, reports and educational materials; and assist in fitness and wellness projects.
