Job Description:
Project Officer (at the rank of Technical Officer) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536429) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of experience in event planning, project coordination or coaching. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage. They should be dynamic and proactive, able to interact with clients, members, and user groups in a positive and professional manner, while also demonstrating the ability to manage tasks independently and work collaboratively within a team.
The appointee will oversee a community-wide exercise programme, including testing and assessment activities. Key responsibilities include managing scheduling, venues, participants and coaches; collecting data; and liaising with stakeholders to recruit and retain subject pools.
This position will be primarily based at the HKU B-Active, Centre for Sports and Exercise (CSE), in Shek Tong Tsui, and support to other centers under CSE at various locations may be required.
