Job Description:

Executive Officer in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536508) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ solid working experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions or other public organizations. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. They should also be self-motivated, attentive to details, able to handle multiple tasks, and work independently and in a team.

The appointee will provide a full spectrum of support in relation to finance and accounting. He/She will monitor expenditure, procurement and financial processes; handle and process financial data, fund source and resources allocation; prepare reports for financial forecasts, projections and analyses; and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
