Job Description:
Project Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 536531) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
The Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a proactive and dedicated professional to join our team as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in connecting networks, funders, and investors, and building ecosystems of social innovation, and supporting the administrative and strategic functions of The Social Venture Lab to promote social entrepreneurship and impact-driven projects among the Faculty students.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree or above in social sciences, business, public administration, or related fields, with at least 3-5 years’ experience of working with social ventures, managing stakeholder relationships, or securing funding from grants, investors, or philanthropic sources. Experience in social innovation, social enterprise development, or community engagement would be an advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) for effective engagement with diverse stakeholders. They should demonstrate strong organisational and administrative capabilities, the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
The appointee will be responsible for developing and nurturing partnerships with investors, social enterprises, corporates, NGOs, government agencies, and academic partners. He/She will organise networking events, workshops, and programmes aimed at fostering social innovation and expanding the Lab’s influence, and performing any other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
