Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will play a key role in a large‑scale project promoting mental health and well‑being in Hong Kong primary schools, under the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences. He/She will provide executive, administrative, and logistical support to ensure smooth operation and high‑quality delivery in line with the project’s objectives, timelines, and funder requirements, with major tasks including:
- Monitor research project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely, professional implementation.
- Serve as secretary and liaison person in major meetings, including research and administrative meetings.
- Prepare academic and non‑academic reports.
- Manage research project budget and resources.
- Organize and support public education, dissemination, and engagement activities.
- Coordinate website development and digital communications for the research project.
- Provide comprehensive support for research project management.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Management, Administration, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of relevant work and supervisory experience.
- Strong versatility in research administration and management.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).
- High proficiency in IT applications (MS Word, MS Excel, and other office software).
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Genuine passion for mental health projects.
- Experience in coordinating and implementing community or education projects, public sector funded projects, or charitable foundations is an advantage.
- Prior work experience in tertiary institutions is an advantage.
Candidates with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence in September 2026, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
