Student Advising Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Campus Life Section of Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref.: 536644) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification administrative experience, preferably in event management, marketing, multimedia publicity, or tertiary education. Strong communication skills and fluency in Putonghua and English are essential, along with familiarity with social media platforms popular among non-local students. Proficiency in publicity, digital marketing, and multimedia content creation is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for student support, cultural integration, and proactive engagement, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
The appointee will join the International Student Support at CEDARS, dedicated to enhancing the experience and well-being of non-local students—including international and Chinese Mainland students—through comprehensive support and engagement initiatives. Key duties include but are not limited to:
Student Engagement & Integration
Develop and implement programmes that foster adaptation to local academic, social, and cultural environments.
Organize orientation activities, cultural exchange events, and social integration programmes to build a sense of belonging.
Well-being and Crisis Support
Provide timely assistance and guidance to students facing challenges in adjustment, well-being or crisis.
Publicity & Communication
Plan and execute publicity strategies across digital and social media platforms to promote support services and events.
Create engaging multimedia content tailored to diverse student communities.
Revamp the website to better cater to the needs of non-local students, enhancing accessibility, relevance, and user experience.
Leadership & Collaboration
Recruit, train, and manage student ambassadors to assist in programme delivery.
Collaborate with internal units and external partners to strengthen support networks for non-local students.
Other duties
Perform any other tasks as assigned to advance the objectives of the Global Student Support Team.

The HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute is a strategic collaboration between The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC). Its goal is to create a world-class hub and network of distinguished scholars in Governance and Sustainability worldwide. To achieve this, the Institute offers various forms of support, including data, grants and publicity, to its affiliated scholars.
Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or other related disciplines in governance, social, or sustainability studies. They should have an excellent command of both English and Chinese, proficiency in data collection, processing, and analysis using statistical software, and strong academic writing skills. Strong coding skills are a plus. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
The appointees will provide support to the HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute in various research projects and related coordination tasks, with a focus on corporate governance topics and initiatives. The School of Public Health at HKU houses six academic divisions and more than 300 staff. We are looking for an Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer)/ Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) (Ref.: 536642) to join the General Office and provide administrative support to the operations of the School.
The Role
The appointee will provide support to the administration of the School, mainly on building management (space allocation, repair and maintenance, relocation etc.), and other administrative support such as human resources, financial management, as well as general administration. He/She will be required to supervise junior staff, and work closely with project teams and administrative staff at the School and University level. Working outside office hours and on the weekends may be required occasionally.
Qualifications and Qualities:
A good Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
Minimum 3 years’ work experience in building management, human resources, financial management, or office administration. Familiarization with administration in Higher Education institutions is an advantage;
Experience in building/property management and supervision of junior staff is highly desirable;
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Chinese, and a good sense with numbers;
Proficiency with MS Office, database management, and other productivity software;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous, organized and reliable; enthusiastic to take up new projects and improvement works; and
Diplomatic, mature, and with good interpersonal skills; a good team player as well as a self-starter with a positive attitude.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for appointment as Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time basis for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in an interdisciplinary field such as Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or a related discipline, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience. Prior teaching experience and the ability to design creative and engaging learning activities are highly desirable. The appointee will work closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing student learning through innovative pedagogical approaches across undergraduate MBBS programmes, Common Core courses, and other teaching-related initiatives. He/She will support teaching and programme activities, including conducting tutorials and field trips for Common Core courses; developing and preparing teaching and learning materials; assisting with administrative and clerical duties; performing data collection, analysis and entry; supporting the preparation of proposals, reports, grant applications; and undertaking other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required, depending on teaching needs.
