Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Senior Project Officer) in the Centre for Civil Society and Governance (Ref.: 531100)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Natural /Biological Science, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Anthropology, Urban Studies or a related discipline, and at least 3 years of working experience in the related field. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants should be able to work independently and have good problem-solving skills. Knowledge and skills on visual interpretation and quantitative and qualitative research methods would be advantageous. Those with experience in Cultural Heritage, Rural/Urban Revitalization, Community Planning, Place-making and Communication are preferred.
The appointee will be responsible for co-ordinating, promoting, and delivering rural revitalization programmes, and other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre. Teaching duties on the above-mentioned topics may also be assigned. He/She is required to work outdoor, or work on weekends or public holidays occasionally.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
The appointment will commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
