Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As a Student Advisor within the Faculty of Health you will work to provide advice and assistance to current and future undergraduate and post graduate students. You will represent, present and advocate for the student experience of those within the Faculty of Health.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role along with:

  • Proven experience supporting diverse student groups in tertiary education, with a solid understanding of university regulations.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn, interpret, and apply policies and procedures effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clear, professional, and effective interactions.
  • Culturally aware and sensitive to multicultural and bicultural contexts, with an understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Thrive in a friendly and supportive environment, maintaining composure and efficiency under pressure during peak periods.
  • Proactive and demonstrate strong initiative in tackling challenges and responsibilities.
  • Skilled in managing a varied workload, meeting tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficient in using the MS Office suite, web-based tools, email platforms, and databases.
  • An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

This role sits within the General Staff Collective Agreement Band 4 (2024) salary range of between $72,266 and $94,614, and salary will be based on skills and experience.
