UC Recreation & Sport Centre

  • Part-time roles available - up to 17 hours per week, on a rostered basis
  • Opening hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As the face of the UC RecCentre you will be the go-to person for any assistance or queries for students, staff, and the wider community. You will make bookings, assist with memberships, sell items/services, and assist with keeping the UC RecCentre a fun and vibrant place for our members to visit.  

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • genuine enthusiasm for sport, health, and fitness
  • at least 1-year previous experience in an administrative/receptionist role in the Sport and Recreation Sector
  • a current first aid certificate
  • strong customer service experience being able to deal with a range of people while maintaining a friendly demeanour
  • experience with the Microsoft office suite, software and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
  • excellent communication and multitasking skills, while handling multiple demands
  • the ability to Identify and addresses members needs and have the skills to think on your feet and problem solve.
  • an understanding of the student experience and the ability to connect with and support student needs.

This would be a perfect opportunity for someone with fitness experience and there may be opportunities to tie work in with other UC Rec&Sport roles.
