Assistant Director, Corporate Development (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 531079) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree, with at least 10 years’ full-time work experience in the field of corporate business development, relationship management, recruitment or related fields. Applicants are expected to be a detail-oriented self-starter with a proactive work attitude, ability to multitask effectively, work well both independently and in a team, as well as demonstrate a sense of ownership. Since they will deal with many internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, having a sense of urgency, strong communication, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills will be crucial for success.
The appointee will be responsible for corporate development at the faculty level, a strong company network and solid understanding of the recruitment market would be a distinct advantage. The appointee is expected to work independently and develop faculty’s links with corporations in Hong Kong and different parts of the region to enhance career placement. He/she will also engage in organising various career-oriented events (such as career fairs, company visits, employer networking events, etc.), and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned. The appointee will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.
