Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Business Development Officer) in the Centre for Civil Society and Governance (Ref.: 531054) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Business Management, Sustainability Studies, Marketing, Agriculture/Food Business, or a related field. Applicants should possess good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication and liaison abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience in local agricultural business, the food-related industry, or corporate sustainability and have demonstrated proficiency in networking, project management and problem-solving.
The successful applicant will be responsible for business development for the social entrepreneurship project, with a focus on local agro-product and service development. He/She will also be involved in developing new projects related to sustainable production and food systems under the Centre. Primary responsibilities include planning and coordinating sales and marketing activities, identifying market positioning, evaluating potential sales leads, liaising with customers and partners for business development, networking within the industry, and preparing sales reports and presentations. The appointee will also need to provide production administrative support and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre.
