  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator / coordinator to work within the Student Success programme. The programme focuses on evidence-based approaches to increase rates of participation and success for all learners. As the Project administrator / coordinator, you will work closely with the Senior Project Manager to ensure the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of the project. 

You will be responsible for maintaining project timelines, tracking budgets, managing documentation, and reporting on progress, ensuring all aspects of the project run smoothly and achieve desired outcomes.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • assist in planning, coordinating, and managing the project, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines
  • provide support for financial tracking and reporting, to assist the Senior Project Lead in budget management
  • develop and maintain an information hub for the programme, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the latest updates and documentation
  • manage all administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and providing support for project-related activities
  • track project progress and maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders
  • ensure the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail in all project-related activities and documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will be a creative thinker who has a strong understanding of the university environment, and be confident in your administrative ability, and have the following skills:

  • Experience preparing and researching reports and working with complex data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook) and technologies
  • Experience working in a higher education environment, is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally
  • A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exercise discretion, dealing with sensitive information and diverse stakeholders
  • Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori.
