Director of Career Development and Training for MSc Programmes (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 530927) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above and preferably with at least 15 years’ work experience, in which 10 years in talent development, human resources, or career services. Those with work experience in related fields and enthusiasm about assisting students in their professional growth and development may also be considered. They should be able to work independently, exercise good decision-making, and demonstrate a record of working with different stakeholders, including senior HR and business leaders of various sectors. Experience in leading a team is essential, along with understanding of the entire recruitment and job search process across different industries. A high level of interpersonal and organizational skills is essential for this role.
The appointee will lead in providing career-related services to students at the postgraduate level, in particular the specialized masters programmes offered by the Faculty. He/She is expected to support the corporate development initiatives by establishing new corporate contacts and maintaining existing corporate relationships with a view to solicit internship and graduate placement opportunities for students. He/She will plan, develop and oversee a wide range of career advising, coaching and training activities. Understanding of learning and development landscape is critical along with strong connections with recruiters in the region.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
