Job Description:

Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Civil Engineering (Ref.: 530753), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

We now invite applications for the captioned post.

Duties and Responsibilities (Each RA will focus on one of following duties)

  1. Human-Robot Collaboration-based Digital Twin System Development (backend & frontend)
  2. Intelligent Production Scheduling System Development (backend & frontend)
  3. Production Knowledge System Development. (backend & frontend)

Requirements

Candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or any related field. They must be able to commit to full-time employment without any other concurrent employment obligations.

The following skills and knowledge are expected:

  • Strong programming skills (Python, Java, HTML, and JavaScript).
  • Good knowledge of digital twins or optimization or NLP.
  • Good knowledge of frontend and backend tools.

Those with less qualification and experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II. MSc students at a Hong Kong University are encouraged to apply and can be appointed part-time research assistants.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
