Job Description:

Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 530791) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

With the ongoing development of the School's Master Programme, we are actively seeking skilled individuals to become part of our team.

Applicants should possess a higher diploma or above with at least two years’ relevant work experience in tertiary institutions. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good interpersonal skills and telephone manner; self-motivation with a strong sense of responsibility; a good teamwork attitude; and an ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines. They should also be proficient in computer applications (such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing).

The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support to a taught postgraduate programme, managing tasks related to student admissions, course selection, attendance records, data collection and compilation, and course evaluations. Additionally, he/she will assist with programme publicity, student activities, handling inquiries, and completing specific or general clerical tasks as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview. The appointee is expected to start his/ her service no later than 10 February 2025.
