Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The role of Tautāwhi | Admin Assistant in the Te Kaupeka Oranga | Faculty of Health is to provide high quality administrative support for the Administration Services Manager, Administrators and associated staff by utilising a collaborative team approach, engaging in efficient practices which are observed through the productive completion of daily tasks as may be required. This includes the coordination and promotion of the school and faculty by ensuring all staff, student, visitors and enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.

You will be an Admin Assistant with some experience in administrative support roles, ideally within a medium to large organisations. This role is perfect for someone looking to build on their foundational skills and grow within a supportive team environment.:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills including the ability to cope with competing demands
  • Demonstrated resilience including ability to set priorities, manage time and plan work to meet deadlines, and escalate when appropriate
  • Experience in customer service
  • A good knowledge of the tertiary education sector is preferable
  • Knowledge of and experience using and managing database systems
