Te Ratonga Whakahaere Paenga | Facilities Management
Located in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand
- Full-time at 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm.
- Permanent role with five weeks annual leave and five days university holidays.
- Annual salary of $54,229-$74,195, based on skills and experience
Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
The Gardening Team is part of the wider Facilities Management Department who are highly knowledgeable, welcoming, and sociable. Our tight knit Team is passionate about the work that we do and are proud of our campus.
Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Working on our Dovedale Campus in Ilam, you will maintain garden beds, shrubs, and trees. Your day will be broken up with tasks such as landscaping, trimming, spraying, lawn mowing, and blowing campus paths/roads/paved areas.
At times you may be required to work at heights in a Mobile Elevated work platform, use horticultural machinery, and operate ride-on mowers.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are an experienced horticulturalist with at least 5+ years' experience. Less experience would be considered if you hold a relevant qualification (Diploma or level 3 certificate in Amenity Horticulture).
You have experience working with horticultural machinery, operating hedge trimmers and chain saws. You have a passion for gardening and great plant knowledge.
You must have a clean and current full NZ driver's licence.
