Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (several posts) in Cancer Research in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530553), to commence as soon as possible for one to three year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree preferably in biomedical sciences or related disciplines, and strong research background in cancer biology, immuno-oncology, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, single cell technology or medicinal chemistry. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers. They should be self-motivated, hardworking and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team. The appointees are expected to contribute to collaborative research projects under the supervision of Professor S.Y. Leung (https://www.patho.hku.hk/en/Our-Team/Academic/Department-Chairperson/Professor-LEUNG-Suet-Yi-Item/Professor-LEUNG-Suet-Yi) in the discovery of cancer biomarkers using large scale multi-omics approach, organoid technology and novel animal models, in addition to the development of anti-cancer or immuno-oncology drugs.
