Clerical Assistant in the School of Computing and Data Science (Ref.: 530502)

We are looking for a Clerical Assistant to join the School of Computing and Data Science to provide administrative and clerical support to the Centre.

The Role

The appointee will be responsible for handling inquiries from the general public, students, and internal stakeholders, providing customer service, and managing the student counter at the School's general office. They will also support accounts payable and assist with operational tasks such as data entry and logistics for events. Qualifications and Qualities

  • 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese (Level 2 from 2007), OR minimum Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language and Chinese Language and at least 5 years of experience in customer service, receptionist duties, operational support, data entry, secretarial work, and accounts payable;
  • A good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multitask and work independently;
  • A quick learner, effective team player, proactive, detail-oriented, and have a good level of computer literacy.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
