Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Academic Programme Officer/Assistant Academic Programme Officer) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 530378) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a higher diploma or above, with at least 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, or min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and with at least 3 years’ solid relevant administrative work experience, preferably in the higher education sector.
The applicants should have knowledge and experience of programme administration and external communication. They should also have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage; good organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; good teamwork; the ability to efficiently multi-task; attentive to details; work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Academic Programme Officer.
The appointee will be responsible for providing assistance to manage and administer academic programmes, offering all-rounded clerical assistance to staff members, rendering administrative support to the general office, supporting ad-hoc events, and performing other duties as assigned by the Head of Department and his delegate. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
