Accounting Executive, Faculty Partnership & Solutions Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 530339)
The Role
The appointee will assist in the following areas:
- handling various finance functions for Faculties and Departments;
- general accounting duties such as budgetary control, payments and receipts processing, and journal entries preparation and posting;
- preparing statement of account for funding bodies;
- some data entry and clerical work; and
- any other accounting duties as required.
Qualifications and Qualities
- minimum Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, OR 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics;
- at least 1 year’s work experience, preferably in accounting, auditing, and/or banking;
- a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- good knowledge of PC and software applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- experience with Oracle Financials is a plus;
- self-motivated and good team player, with the ability to work independently;
- student member of a professional accounting body has an advantage; and
- fresh university graduates will also be considered.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
