Are you passionate about empowering students and supporting them through their transition into university? Join AUT's UniPrep Programme as a Pou Whirinaki, where you'll play a key role in mentoring recent secondary school leavers and helping them connect with their academic and cultural identities. This role involves engaging with students and whānau, supporting recruitment events, and fostering an inclusive and inspiring university environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a mentor and advocate, inspiring students in their academic, personal, and cultural growth.
- Connecting with Prospective Students: Build strong connections with prospective students and their whānau, providing guidance and promoting higher education access.
- Event Collaboration: Partner with AUT staff to deliver culturally inclusive events that create a sense of belonging for students.
- Public Representation: Represent AUT at events, sharing insights on university life and inspiring future students.
- Engagement: Create compelling content to connect with and engage AUT's student community.

- Currently enrolled at AUT (undergraduate or postgraduate level).
