Job Description:

Administrative Assistant II/ Executive Officer in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530268) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in the higher education sector or a related field. They should be competent communicators with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to motivate their team members to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is essential, along with high-level interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, an appropriate level of IT knowledge, and the ability to multitask with minimal supervision, working well both in a team and independently with a high level of initiative.

The appointee will play a versatile role in leading a team of junior executive and clerical staff to provide a wide spectrum of administrative support to the Department, including human resources, finance, teaching and learning, research, knowledge exchange and general office administration; take on new initiatives; and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Candidates with less experience or qualifications may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer, with opportunities for growth and development. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
