Job Description:

  • Be a part of a leading Security & Emergency Management team
  • Permanent / full time position - 24/7 rotating shift rosters, 12 hours 2 x Days + 2 x Nights - 4 days off

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is New Zealand's second-largest and fastest-growing university. AUT is committed to the provision of a safe environment for our students and staff.

We are looking for Security Officers to join our Campus team working 24/7 on rotating days and late shifts including Public Holidays.

Here at AUT, our Security Officers have an ambassadorial focus rather than the more traditional Security Guard role so if you are passionate about safety and security then this might be the role you have been looking for.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated Security & Emergency Management team operating in a large University campus environment utilising security technologies and systems to deliver a safe environment for our students, staff, and visitors. You will engage and interact with the campus community ensuring we have a safe and secure environment to study and work.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong customer focus
  • High levels of professionalism and integrity
  • Great communication skills
  • Self-motivation with a strong work ethic
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Competent computer skills

We are a security team that is leading the way. We were recently featured and praised in New Zealand Security Magazine (NZSM) over our Security Services transformation.

If you would like to be part of a professional security team, then please apply or get in touch.

Ref: 89417

Closing Date: 28th October 2024, at 11:55 pm.

This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014
