Position Overview

He tūranga kua whakaritea mō te hunga Kaiarataki 

Ko au ko koe, ko koe ko au 

E wātea mai ana ngā tūranga e rua i Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa.  He tūranga Kaiarataki, manaaki kaimahi anō hoki tēnei e akiaki ana te Uepū Kaiarataki me ngā wāhanga katoa o Te Tari Students and Global Engagement.  Me mahi ki te Kaiarataki Matua, ara, kia whakawhanake ai mātou ngā whāinga hirahira i te Reo Māori me ōnā Tikanga, he Tirohanga Māori anō hoki engari ko te whāinga matua, ko Te Tiriti o Waitangi, kia whakatinanahia i roto i a tātou mahi katoa, e noho nei hei tūāpapa ki Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa. 

We are looking to appoint two Kaiarataki in permanent full-time positions to join a small but dedicated team at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University, supporting the portfolio of Students and Global Engagement.

Kaiarataki Tuatahi – Located on the Manawatū Campus, focusing on our Student Registry office and assisting the wider SaGE whānau.

Kaiarataki Tuarua – Located on the Pukeahu Wellington Campus, focusing on our Student Wellbeing office and assisting the wider SaGE whānau.

 

Ngā whēako me ngā pukenga e hiahiatia ana: 

  • Prior experience in advice and leading Tikanga Māori arrangements within a tertiary setting or other educational settings. 
  • Proficiency and the ability to uphold te mana o Te Reo Māori me ōnā Tikanga across a range of different situations and settings. 
  • Demonstrates a capacity for providing manaaki-led advice and a proven record of developing strong and effective relationships in the achievement of strategic outcomes. 
  • The ability to present to, and communicate with a range of audiences.  
  • Proven experience working as part of a highly motivated team and gaining the respect of peers and stakeholders, kia tū kotahi, kia kotahi te whāinga.  
  • Proven ability to establish and develop effective, authentic relationships with internal groups and external stakeholders. 
  • He tāngata whai whakatipuranga, future-focused with the ability to make transformative, intergenerational decisions.
