Job Description:

Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the School of Computing and Data Science (Ref.: 530266 ) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

The School is preparing to launch a pilot course on AI literacy which is planned to become a University’s compulsory requirement in the next academic year. As part of this initiative, the School is expanding the administrative team and is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the pilot course.

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ solid work experience preferably in higher education sector. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with initiative are essential requirements. The position is ideal for individuals looking to acquire new skills in a balanced work culture and broaden their career prospects in Higher Education. The School offers supportive career advancement opportunities to its professional service staff.

The appointee will be responsible for administering and planning of a new university-wide course, he/she will coordinate with faculty, staff and students to ensure effective communication and course implementation. He/she will manage enrolment and student records, handle inquiries, provide support to faculty and students, and assist in developing and implementing strategic initiatives related to the course. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interview.
