Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 530250) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years’ administrative experience and 4 years’ supervisory experience in a tertiary institution. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage); strong organisational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and communication skills, and a demonstrated capacity for independent action under pressure and taking initiative. They should also be meticulous and self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and work ethics. Computer literacy and good knowledge of IT systems would be added assets.
The appointee will assist the Head of the Department in managing office administration and supervise a team of clerical staff. He/She is expected to provide administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes and student matters, support the development and enhancement of learning and teaching initiatives and projects, and provide secretarial support to committees. He/She will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of administrative functions including human resources, budgeting and financial matters, project planning and management, and space planning and utilization. He/She is also required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assist in the development and implementation of strategic plan and policies for departmental matters and events, provide the Head of the Department with essential administrative solutions to any challenges that may arise, and perform any other duties as assigned.
