Research Assistant II in Finance in the HKU Business School (Ref.: 530223)

We now invite applications for appointment as Research Assistant II in Finance in the HKU Business School.

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist academic research in finance, with a focus on empirical corporate finance as well as sustainable finance. Responsibilities include tasks such as conducting literature review, gathering data, data cleaning, data management, or statistical analyses. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of graduate level finance for academic research. Proficiency in at least one of the following software is required for econometric and statistical analysis: Stata, Python, or R. A high command of English is also essential for this role.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.

The appointment will be made on full-time contract to commence as soon as possible for at least six months with a possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance.
