Software Engineer (at the rank of Assistant Technical Manager) in the Division of Landscape Architecture in the Department of Architecture (Ref: 530115) (to commence as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or educational technology related disciplines, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in software development (web-based and App). They should also have good command of both English and Chinese. Applicants should be able to demonstrate professional knowledge in metaverse technology, independent research and working ability, and practical experience in software development, project management, learning management systems, and Web 2.0 and 3.0 applications. Applicants with proficiency in WebGL, game engine, and Firebase will be given priority.
The appointee will be responsible for the software development and management of a virtual learning project, working in association with academic and technical staff to plan, design, develop, test, deploy, and evaluate the project.
