Located in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand

  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
  • Continuing (permanent) position

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The role of Facilities Management Coordinator is to provide high level proactive and comprehensive support flexibly across the Facilities Management (FM) leadership team, supporting the FM programme of work at UC.

The role will predominantly provide operational administration of the FM department, providing direct support to the Director - Facilities Management, who leads the programme of work, and the Director's direct reports. A strong commitment to continuous improvement initiatives is critical to the success of the role.

Mōu | Who You Are
A successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience working in a facilities management environment.
  • Experience in a personal or executive assistance or office management type role.
  • Significant diary management experience for a management team.
  • Experience working in a large programme administrative function, with an operational facilities background.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of risk management techniques.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with others.
  • Strong organisation and self-management skills with the ability to optimise and prioritise conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment to achieve deadlines and see responsibilities through to completion.
  • Research and analytical skills developed to a high level, with the ability to access and determine appropriate courses of action and to follow up with appropriate documentation.
  • Proven track record of developing exceptional relationship with stakeholders and customers.
  • Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori is desirable.
