About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi 

In this role, you will provide clinical medicine services to clients of the Equine Veterinary Clinic within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital as well as provide clinical and more formal teaching to veterinary undergraduates and residents.  Depending on the appointment level, you will also contribute to organisation of clinical teaching, and mentorship of staff. You will work alongside a friendly, talented, and experienced team of veterinarians and technical staff.

If you have experience in equine medicine and are passionate about veterinary education, including clinical teaching, then apply now. 
  • Previous work experience in equine general and/or referral practice is required, and teaching experience is desirable.
  • The position is open to clinicians with proven equine internal medicine experience. A specialist qualification in Equine/Large Animal Internal Medicine or eligibility to sit an examination in the aforementioned, is desirable, but not mandatory. Members of the ANZCVS or holders of a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) are also encouraged to apply.
  • You must be eligible to work and live in NZ.
  • Veterinary professional degree, e.g., BVSc, DVM, VMD etc. from an AVMA-accredited school or one recognised by the New Zealand Veterinary Council to enable full registration in New Zealand as a veterinarian.
