Job Description:

Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526556)

We now invite applications for the captioned post.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • work on impactful epidemiology and/or health economics projects involving medication safety, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, decision analytics and AI-driven health technology assessment
  • provide statistical support on multiple research themes in autoimmune diseases, cardiology, psychiatry, oncology and infectious diseases (minor)
  • assist in drafting project report and lead original research article submission
  • work with a diverse and dynamic team
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree and a strong research background in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Data Science or a related field
  • have knowledge of Pharmacoepidemiology and/or Pharmacoeconomics
  • demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers
  • high level of expertise in analysis of large and complex datasets
  • excellent quantitative and analytic skills
  • good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • strong communication and writing skills
  • self-motivated and hardworking
  • able to work well in an interdisciplinary team

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
