Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 526572), to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Nursing or a healthcare-related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in nursing at tertiary institutions; and be a holder of a valid Registered Nurse Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have excellent written and oral communication skills; classroom and clinical teaching experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes; mentoring skills; and also be competent in curriculum development. Academic research experience would be an advantage. The appointee will play a leading role in nursing education and be responsible for the teaching and coordination of nursing courses. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At the current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
