IT Officer/Senior IT Technician

IT Officer/Senior IT Technician in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref: 526477) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline, with experience in simple digital circuit design and implementation as well as networking management, in particular, routing knowledge and configuration of Juniper and Cisco router/firewall. They should be a good team player with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua and Cantonese. They should also have good organisational, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and able to work on own initiatives.

The appointee will be responsible for performing central printing service and computer usage control at Computing Lab; supporting and managing the departmental computing hardware, software, network, Departmental CCTV system, Lab access management system as well as conducting Networking Workshop Training.
