Job Description:

Senior Technical Officer in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 523440) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed term basis, with contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master’s degree, in biological/medical/pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ proven experience in pharmaceutical science laboratories. They should have an excellent commend of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), good problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team. They should be self-motivated and hardworking. Familiar in pharmaceutical formulations, chemical analysis, using HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, flow cytometer, cell imaging system, cell culture and/or animal handling would be an advantage.

The appointee will assist in managing the practical, administrative, and financial laboratory/Department’s matters. He/She will also provide support to daily running of lab activities by a mix of master’s or PhD students and post-doctoral researchers. In addition, they will contribute to learning and teaching activities within the department.
